Roche Fuels Ride of a Lifetime for 20 Breast Cancer Survivors

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year (23-30 October 2005) 20 breast cancer survivors will mount brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycles to embark on the ride of their life from Sydney to Brisbane.

The ride which is run in an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer, and to raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is the first of its kind in Australia.  The first Changing Gears ride, which took place in the USA in 2004, generated huge media coverage both in the US and Australia, and raised significant funds for breast cancer charities. This year the ride will include legs in three different continents - USA, UK and Australia - and it is expected to gain even wider media coverage than last year.

Roche is proud to be the primary sponsor of this year's event in Australia, and is delighted to be able to support the breast cancer community in this way.  Harley-Davidson will also be supporting the event through the loan of the motorcycles.
